Meet Ronan

Executive Director

Ronan is a co-founder of Virtue. He is focused on driving the overall strategy and growth of the company. Before establishing Virtue, Ronan was Managing Director of the Willis Care Group, a leader in delivering elder care solutions to the Irish market. Ronan has an in-depth knowledge of the design, build and operational phases of new and existing nursing home facilities in the Irish Market. He has project managed the design and build of a number of purpose-built nursing home facilities in the South Dublin area. Ronan was a member of Nursing Homes Ireland National Sub-Committee on Financial Affairs and Commercial Activity.

Prior to his role as Managing Director of the Willis Care Group Ronan qualified as a Chartered accountant with KPMG and held various roles within the financial services sector.

Ronan earned his Bachelor of Commerce from the University College Dublin, a MBS in E-Commerce from the Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business and a Masters in Accounting from the Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business. Ronan is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accounts in Ireland

Ronan enjoys many sports, outdoor activities and good food. He spends his spare time with his wife and four kids.

Meet Cillian

CEO

Cillian is a co-founder of Virtue. He is focused on strategic planning and alignment of operations of the company. Before establishing Virtue, Cillian was Chief Operating Officer of the Willis Care Group. Cillian has an in-depth knowledge of policy formation, strategic planning and best practice in governance. Cillian has also completed an extensive international comparative study of long term care regulatory models.

Prior to his role as Chief Operating Officer of the Willis Care Group, Cillian’s experience as a professional rugby player representing Leinster, Ulster, Connacht and Sale Sharks amongst others provided a unique perspective that compliments his approach.

Cillian married his time as a professional sportsman with various academic pursuits earning his Bachelor of Commerce from the University College Dublin. He also completed several postgraduate qualifications including a Diploma in Health Economics, a HDip in Public Management and a MA in Healthcare Management from the Institute of Public Administration earning the gold medal award in his class.

Meet Shane

Financial Controller

Shane oversees Virtue’s financial strategy and operations.  Prior to joining Virtue, Shane was Financial Controller of the Willis Care Group, a leader in delivering long term residential health care solutions to the Irish Market where he led the development of the financial framework within the organization. Prior to this, Shane worked in KPMG Corporate Finance where he was involved in providing advice to a variety of public and private sector clients on the procurement and financing of large scale infrastructure projects.

Shane spent 12 months on secondment working directly within the National Roads Authority advising them on the first phase of their PPP Roads Scheme.

Shane earned his Master’s in Accounting from the Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Business and Legal Studies from the University College Dublin.  Shane is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accounts in Ireland
In his free time, Shane enjoys open water swimming, running and spending time with his family.

Meet Conor

Executive Consultant

Conor is currently managing director of Virtues staffing solutions company Empath. Conor also acts as an executive consultant to the leadership team of Virtue. Prior to joining Virtue, Conor was the Finance and Operations controller for Firstcare Nursing Home Group. At FirstCare, Conor was a lead on the team in setting up two new purpose-built nursing homes. Furthermore, at Firstcare Conor established a head office, set up all financial and operational policies and procedures, financial and healthcare systems and developed a professional head office team.

Conor has additional years’ experience in the funds industry through his time as a financial accountant with Citigroup working in Financial Control and also experience in financial reporting in insurance and reinsurance through his role with nSpire Re, a subsidiary of the Fairfax Global Group.

Conor is an energetic, dynamic and driven Finance Executive with a vast range of experience and skills in finance, business development, cost control, negotiation, strategy, process improvement, technology, operations and building teams gained over 14 years.

Conor is committed and hardworking with a particular passion for customer and client success.

Conor holds a Bachelor of Business Studies, a Diploma in German and is a member the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

Meet Paula

COO

Paula is responsible for ensuring effective and responsive consolidation of Operations including growth and development across the company. The role involves ensuring governance and oversight in relation to the core services and support activities across the Company.  Paula has over 15 years’ experience working in a variety of Irish and International private and public healthcare settings, at increasing levels of responsibility.

Paula was CEO of Cheeverstown House, for 3 years designing and driving a strategic transformation of the arrangement of services including residential, day and community-based services within the disability sector. Prior to this she held the a key change management position of within Quality and Strategic Planning for the service.

Meet Rizalyn

Operations Manager

Rizalyn was appointed as Operations Manager in 2016 following over three years leading the Clinical and Quality team at the Willis Care Group. Rizalyn is a Registered Nurse with over 20 years nursing and management experience in the aged care sector. Rizalyn has over 12 years experience as Director of Nursing and as a nominated person in Charge.

Meet Radek

HR Manager

Radek joined the Virtue Management team in January 2019 and has sole responsibility for the Human Resources function across the company. Radek has over 19 years of management experience working in both the public and private sectors with 10 of these working within the public healthcare setting.

Prior to joining Virtue Radek held the positions of Resourcing Manager and Human Resources Business Partner over several years with the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital specialising in Recruitment, Retention and Employee Relations. He is the holder of a Bachelor of Arts in Business Studies, Master of Arts in Human Resources Management and the Postgraduate Diploma in Employment Law from the Law Society of Ireland.
